Number of H-1B cap filings increase slightly
In one week between May 21, 2010 and May 28, 2010, USCIS received double the number of H-1B cap subject petitions against the 65,000 cap, i.e. 1,200 petitions were received compared to 600 petitions the previous week. This brings the total filings against the 65,000 cap to 20,800. As expected, the number of petitions filed against the MS or higher cap increased five times in one week from 100 to 500 filings, so that the number of filings now total 8,700 against the 20,000 cap.
