in 1982, Law Office of Jocelyne J. Kim Lew, A Professional Corporation
has been focused upon Immigration and Naturalization law. The firm
represents corporate as well as individual clients. Corporate clients
include very small, medium and large organizations as well as from start-up
to well-established entities. The law office primarily handles H-1B, L-1, TN, PERM, Permanent Residence for hi-tech employers.
The more than one hundred active corporate
clients are involved in electronics, computers, software, hardware,
e-commerce, Internet, biotech and education. The firm's objective is
to provide personal, efficient, well-informed Immigration-related legal
services to its corporate clients and employees of same, as well as
to its individual clients. The firm is now based in Redwood City, California in mid-peninsula of the San Francisco Bay
Area. Jocelyne J. Kim Lew has been practicing immigration law since 1978. In 1971, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alberta in Canada. In 1976, she received a Master of Arts degree from the same university. Jocelyne has taught at the University of Alberta and at the University of Winnipeg in Canada. In 1977, she was awarded an LL.B. from the University of Manitoba in Canada by attending her last year of law school at the University of California, Los Angeles. In the same year, she was admitted to the California State Bar and admitted to the U.S. Ninth District Circuit Court. In 1978, she began practicing immigration law and then established Jocelyne J. Kim Lew, A Professional Law Corporation, a firm dedicated to the practice of immigration law with special emphasis in employment-based immigration matters. She has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) since 1978. She is a past National Chair for the California Service Center as well as a past Santa Clara Chapter Liaison Chair for both the California Service Center (CSC) and the Department of Labor (DOL). She has also been a speaker at AILA conferences. |
